Okay, I am not trying to be a pain once again, But I am totally aware that the M14A1 is the support gunner version of the M14. But the M14A1 is the same thing as the M14. The only changes that they made to the M14 to make the M14A1 were only physical changes. The biggest physical change that the makers did was put a pistol grip on the weapon. Why, I have no idea because it just gave you a different way to hold the gun. The makers also put a light bipod and a flash suppressor. which the flash suppressor means nothing, and neither does the bipod, the only thing the bipod does was to make it easier to shoot the weapon when prone, thats it. I have seen regular M14s with custom bipods that soldiers put on in the field to make prone position shooting more convenient.(But shooting an M14 prone is not hard because my airsoft gun weighs 1/2 of a pound less than the real thing and i have no trouble shooting it). One thing that the website that you listed forgot to mention was the folding shoulder plate to add stability.(The shoulder plate actually helps a lot, I use mine all the time.) But other than that, the M14 and the M14A1 are the same weapons, they both have the same caliber, weight, and muzzle velocity. Therefore they are the same weapon, Just a different title and small pointless changes.
P.S.- I am honestly trying to do good on my grammar. I re-read all my posts before i post them, so if you see something wrong, please tell me so I can improve. You telling me that i did something wrong and not telling me what I did wrong does not help me improve my writing. I know that grammar is a big thing on this forum but just reporting it does not help me improve now dose it?

You're right. Here, let me help you improve by fixing your post for you: Okay, I am not trying to be a pian once again, But I am totaly aware that the M14A1 is the support gunner version of the M14. See the problem lies in the fact that those few changes do indeed make it a whole new weapon. If everyone else followed your logic, then the G3 is the same weapon as the HK11, and so forth. I award you another warning.

I believe this has ran its course and is in need for a lock. If you want to continue the m14 discussion feel free to create a topic in the proper section (general board). Post a picture of your gun if you think that will help your case.
I have a feeling though that trying to convince the rest of us that the current airsoft versions of the m-14 would qualify as a support weapon would be in vain but if you're so convinced just make sure you can clearly back it up.
