This revival was actually acceptable. The field was active and could be again after the off season. I saw the post already and figured it was fine. I just didn't remember what we were paying per game.
Conscript, you could always host some games there. You're pretty much the closest person to the field, so you're more likely to make the games regularly. Just set up dates, times, and a couple fun scenarios and that's all you need to do to host a rec game. They already have the chrono, staging area, and game fields marked out, so you don't really have to organize anything. Just call the owner to make sure we can come back.

I may do that if I get more weekends off, I reserve my days off usually for big op's, but we could try and make this happen. I have around 10 conscripts plus who ever wants to make it out, that could be a decent rec game. I'll make it a point to try and contact them.

I'm sure the whole 313th will be down for some action at No Limits, seeing as how our home field is, quite literally, right around the block.

Last year we had a few problems at this location. 1. Attendance - as close as it was, would could only seem to get 12 to 20 people to show up. 2. Bugs - Yes there was a problem with blood sucking insects and other various bugs in the area.
Between the seasons the City of Taylor passed an ordanice banning airsoft in public places. As said before, the field of No Limits is owned by the City of Taylor and leased to No Limits, however part of the field is still open to the public. I've email the City of Taylor about a few concerns and they haven't replied back.
Also, I would love to host an OP there, however No Limits wanted atleast 50 people pre-paid in order to reserve the field to ourselves, otherwise the field would be shared with paintballers. And seeing that the airsoft players in this community and MIA aren't the type to pre-pay for an event, the changes of hosting a OP at No Limits is slim.

A OP is out of the picture, but a rec game could definately happen. Sure the field doesn't hold its own compared to the SFOD field, but it's close to several of us. I don't mind paintballers, and they usually cleared out later in the day and the biggest bug troubles where when we tried to play out in the woods, the field games and anthrax island didn't have many issues. I will say that the whole airsoft ban may screw this up, I forgot that this used to be a park and on a few occasions there were city workers mowing the lawn just outside combat areas. If that could be straightend out then we should be able to have some rec games.

Well, the bug issue isn't TOO difficult to control. We have a similar problem on our field when it is wet in the summer, but found that Deep Woods Off wipes work quite well against the little buggers. However, the ban may or may not crap in our Cheerios on this one. The way I understand the ban is that Airsoft is banned in public areas where it could pose a danger to non-combatant bystanders or be misconstrued as an actual firefight, robbery, etc. I could be wrong, however, but this is how I interpret the law myself.

I just got off the phone with Brian from no limits and he said he would be happy to have us back on their field anytime. The same rules will apply and we do get to go around to the different areas and the paintballers will work around us.
So now the question is would anyone be up for a game there? It would be worth going if we got a decent amount of guys out there. I would be willing to do a game all day on Saturday June 14 or June 28. That should be plenty of notice for anyone interested. Post your thoughts or other suggestions and we'll try to get one scheduled.
I'm really itching to get some trigger time and this is the only place we've got without having to drive too far (one hour or more from metro Detroit).
Edit: I picked Saturdays so there isn't much conflict with other events around the state.

I'll play. I don't think I have anything else either of those days, as long as SFOD isn't hosting something already.

I'd be down with the 28th, I leave on vacation right after OP: Gold Rush so I'll be gone until the 20th. You really take the initiative there Arc, +1.

I'd be down, not sure about the rest of the team, but Illisit13 can find that out for me.

I think the 28th would be excellent. If everyone thinks the 28th is a good date, I'll post a rec game announcement in the event section.

The 28th works for me too. Skypilot or Knief could you guys post something on MIA about this rec game?
I'll give Brian a call on Monday to let him know what we talked about here and I'll also ask him to check on that ban on replicas at public places in Taylor. I'm sure that really won't affect us in this situation.

Make sure everything is lined up and I'll post the event on MiA.
