Just and FYI. Baby powder isn't a good idea indoors, once it gets on the floor it because very very slippery. Popping a ballon or a noise maker seems to be a better method. Prehaps you can find a motion sensor that makes a noise when walking in front of it.
Leaf blowers are excellent for BB pickup along with a shop vac.
380fps is really hot for CQB, unless you mandate full facemasks. And the other concern is windows. Speaking of windows, what steps are you taking to secure them so they don't get broken?

Sounds good to me.. I think it'd work great. There could be a lot of CQB fun, and then some. You could have be ranged battles in the "not-so-cqb" areas. Cuz there iss till a lot of space between the aisles and the back rooms, and the aisles and the front wall, as wella s in the vegatable area, where everyhting is pretty much small tables.. Do you have a projected date and time? How much do you need upfront to rent this place out for the day? I also feel the need to remind you to vacuum all the BB's up, assuming this store will be built into an actual store after we're done. I doubt it'll ever be used anytime soon...All the out of business Farmer Jack buildings in my area have just sat dormant since they closed. ...if this does end up happening. There's gonan be thousands of bb's...everywhere... I'd like to get some tall things also, maybe we'll secretly raid a construction site or something. ;D I do not have a projected time or date. I was waiting to see the amount of interest first. I'm thinking we will be able to get close to 100 people, which is big for a CQB, but taking into the size of the building I think 100 will work out great. So the next question is what is a good date? It might be to soon but winter break is coming up and I'm thinking if everyone is home from school and has the day off, maybe the weekend after new years, Saturday January 5th 2008. That way everyone should be home, it's a weekend. As for the price, Chaseman and I are still waiting for a man name "Bill," to come back from thanksgiving break, he is the man in charge of the Fenton location, but because he is taking so long, I've looked into a couple other locations. Specifically, the Farmer Jack at 15 mile and Schoenherr in Sterling Hts., I worked there went I was 16, so I know what I have to work with. One advantage to this location is there is a huge corridor (staging area) in front where they kept the cart's and vending machines, it's a big room. I'm not looking to make money at these events. I'm looking to break even and have a good time. Most leasing company's want over 6 figures to rent/lease a building for a year. Just by doing rough calculations, a building that rents for $125,000 for a year (which is small) comes out to roughly 336.02 a day (24 hours). I don't have any figures for a supermarket yet, but I'm assuming its around $300,000 a year if not more. At $300,000 a year it comes to $833.33 a day (24 hours). I would be willing to put $1000.00 on it for 12 hours of use. We still have to pay for electrical use (I could probably have it included in the rent), I wasn't planning on heating the place, because the costs would go through the roof, just electric for lights and battery chargers. The cheaper we get the building for the more I will dump into the raffle, the raffle and the event is going to be sponsored by Player's Choice Airsoft along with a few others to supply odd and ends. I plan on dumping all the money from the "players fee's," into the event i.e. raffle prizes, props, food, and what not. As for the mess, I was going to stay behind and clean up as best I could (the place is probably going to be a mess before we get there anyway), but out of respect I was going to try and pick up the majority of bb's by walking around with some huge brooms and brooming them into a pile and sucking them up with a vac. If I can get some people to stay after and help out that would be great. If this is going to turn into a monthly thing I'm going to need some more help from other member's anyway. I will see what I can do as far as leaf blower, I'm sure I can round a few up, thank's for the advise. The first "bomb," was a theoretical approach, but the balloon was more actual, I've create 2 of the already out of balsa wood and aluminum. I'm planning on having the building for 12 hours we could have different matches with different firing rates but that will probably just highten the confusion. I'll like to keep it as simple as I could with 100 people. I would like to use it for as much as I could so we have many options here. The FPS rate isn't determined yet, but it is up for discussion. I would prefer to keep it at the standard 350.9 and lower just to make things less complicated with firing ranges and what not like I said. But if the player's want 380, I'm not going to argue. As for the windows, I priced out 2.5" thick styrofoam sheets at Home Depot, which are very cheap and I was going to line them with cardboard and cover the windows with them. There is glass in the meat area for the freezers but it is tempered and should be able to take some abuse.

Now that I have thought about it, 380 might be too much. being mostly CQb, everyhting is going to be very fast-paced, the complete opposite of outdoor play. the CQB fps limits might eb better to avoid both confusion, and safety hazzards that come with higher fps in confined spaces. I really hope this picks up and does hppen, I'm gettin' really stoked about it..I can't wait to hear the final say.

If there is CQB, Cerberus is there in force. So count on like 6 people's worth of interest if this gets off the ground. Let us know ASAP.

I think we will be able to hit the player cap, I haven't advertised on MIA yet becuase they do not have a area post post planning. So I'm just waiting to here back from them and discuss the rent, then it's on!

I think I figured out why all the Farmer Jack's are still vacant... the people in charge of leasing never call prospects back!

You could prolly put Team Caedes down for maybe 6. And I might be able to get a few other people.

I would be shocked if this didn't get totally filled. How often do people get to play in an abandoned supermarket??
